Our client is a successful manufacturer and service provider based in the North East. They are currently looking for a Cell Manager to join their site in Newcastle on a full-time, permanent basis.
This Cell Manager will be a dedicated and dynamic individual, a key player in the business, leading, motivating and developing your team to achieve business goals. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive excellence and foster a collaborative work environment.
This role will be on a 4 week shift rotation, 2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights.
About the Cell Manager Role
As Cell Manager, you will provide effective supervision and leadership, managing day to day operations of the allocated machining cells.
Other responsibilities will include:

Effectively communicate and implement company policies, procedures and practices
-
Drive the SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) culture throughout operations
-
Implement and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
-
Lead daily SQCDP Cell Meetings
-
Proactively manage absence and performance management issues, including disciplinary procedures.

Ensure full compliance to all business standards (H&S, Quality and site performance)
About You:
The successful Cell Manager will have previous management/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment along with a HNC or NVQ level 4 in Engineering.
Other requirements include:

Understand 3 & 5 axis CNC machines and their capabilities.

Experience and understanding of continuous improvement tools.

Be results orientated

Excellent communication and people management skills

Ability to motivate a team to achieve results.

Ability to improve team performance through coaching/training and development.
