We are supporting our client with the appointment of a Finance Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a busy, friendly team and take ownership of the company’s weekly payroll function.
The Role – Finance Assistant
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely payroll for approximately 100 employees, alongside a range of core finance duties. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone with strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of payroll processes.
Key responsibilities as Finance Assistant include:

Managing manual weekly payroll for around 100 employees

Processing Sage Payroll – experience is essential

Completing bank reconciliations

Supporting cash flow management and allocating payments

Raising and processing sales and purchase invoices

Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting month-end tasks

Handling payroll queries and ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements
The Candidate
As Finance Assistant you will have:

Demonstrable experience running manual payroll

Sage Payroll experience (essential)

Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and take responsibility for key tasks

Availability to start immediately
