On behalf of our client, a world-leading manufacturer based in Birtley, we are currently seeking a highly motivated First Line IT Support Analyst. Reporting to the Deputy General Manager for Europe, you will be responsible for providing the first line support for all logged European IT issues, which requires both strong technical and interpersonal skills.

The Role

 

The IT Support Analyst is an integral part of the European IT team, helping to ensure the smooth and successful running of the day-to-day business operation, as well as providing specialist technical expertise as and when required.

 

Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Analyst:

  • Logging user requests to the service desk system and assign correct priority
  • Resolving user requests to the appropriate quality level and within acceptable response times
  • Configuring and deploy phones, tablets, laptops, desktop PCs and workstations
  • Maintaining the ICT Asset register
  • Communicate with, and escalate incidents to second-tier support where necessary

About You

 

The successful First Line IT Support Analyst will be a strong communicator with excellent problem solving skills. You will have a technical aptitude with the desire to continuously improve your technical expertise.

 

Key Requirements:

  • IT or IT-related NVQ Level 3 or at least one year’s experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Windows operating systems at a PC level
  • Experience of working with users in an advisory/support capacity
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently and possess a strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
