Our client, a long established privately owned manufacturing business, are currently looking for an Operations/Manufacturing Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
This role will provide a Manufacturing Supervisor the opportunity to work with a well established business who have ambitious plans moving forward. With the recent opening of a new facility, you will be joining the business at an exciting growth phase of their journey.
This role offers an opportunity to work 4 days per week, Monday – Thursday.

The Operations/Manufacturing Supervisor
Working alongside the Operations Manager and Assistant Ops Manager, the Operations/Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for providing a hand on leadership role across all aspects of the productions facility.
Other responsibilities of the Operations/Manufacturing Supervisor will include:

Plan and schedule factory work to optimise resources and meet budget and quality standards.

Implement strategies to improve efficiency and ensure timely delivery.

Assist Operations Manager with production, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and HR goals.

Manage daily production to meet targets and objectives.

Ensure staff follow health, safety, and operating procedures.

Use Lean tools to reduce costs and improve quality.
About You
As Operations/Manufacturing Supervisor, you will have proven experience of fostering a positive culture through effective communication and problem-solving. You will also be a confident leader with the ability to train teams, control absences, resolve safety issues, and motivate staff.
Other requirements include:

IT literate; experience with ERP or MRP systems is ideal.

Previous supervisory or management experience in a modern manufacturing environment is essential.

Experience with modern manufacturing systems and tools.
