About the Mechanical Assembler role
You will be responsible for assembling and testing company products and verifying their performance data against established criteria. You will be involved in active participation in continuous improvement initiatives within the development team and production environment, contributing to the evaluation and commissioning of new products, test rigs and equipment.
Other responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembler include:
- Collaborate across Design Engineering, Production Engineering, and Quality teams to create robust process procedures and standardised process control operations.
- Take responsibility for assembling and testing complete product range, following applicable drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), general procedures (GPs), and internal test procedures (ITPs).
- Take responsibility for ensuring the quality and cleanliness of components before product assembly and testing.
- Set up mechanical, hydraulic, and data acquisition (DAQ) elements of test rigs, ensuring alignment with the test specification.
- Assesses each new test setup to verify its capability in acquiring the accurate data required by the test specifications.
About You
As Mechanical Assembler, you will have experience in product assembly and testing procedures working in a fast-paced engineering environment, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Other requirements of the Mechanical Assembler include:
- Conducting and understanding basic hydraulic calculations.
- You will have awareness of a range of manufacturing processes and systems.
- Confidence when using a range of tools and equipment in an assembly and test environment
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental principles, including IOSH.
