The Role of the Mechanical Design Engineer
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of product development—from concept through to production. You’ll work on a diverse range of mechanical and mechatronic systems, using tools such as 3D CAD, FEA, and design quality methodologies like Failure Tree Analysis.
Other responsibilities include:

Lead and deliver design projects within agreed timelines

Develop design concepts and ensure they meet quality, cost, and delivery targets

Create layout models and detailed drawings, including BOMs and documentation for sales and service

Define and coordinate testing requirements, analyse results, and implement necessary design changes

Manage outsourced design activities

Resolve technical issues using structured problem-solving tools

Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers across global sites
About You – Mechanical Design Engineer
We’re looking for a proactive and creative engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex design challenges.
Other requirements include:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

At least 5 years of experience in a mechanical design role

Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software

Experience with hydraulic systems is highly advantageous

Familiarity with the full development cycle, from concept to testing
