Our client is a North East success story and is now a leading group that consists of several market leading companies covering a wide range of industry sectors including building services. They are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Installation Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
Reporting into the Mechanical Contracts Manager, this role will involve travel around the UK with the requirement for 3-4 overnight stays per week. With a highly competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to earn a considerable amount of overtime this is an attractive role for someone looking to work on national UK accounts.
The Mechanical Installation Supervisor Role
This role will manage, supervise, install and test cooling projects on a national basis.
The main responsibilities will include:

Assist the Project Manager/Engineer in planning the project and ensure the agreed program is achieved

Liaise with client representatives

Supervise sub-contractors on site

Record works progress and document updates to completion stage

Install cooling systems and associated services
-
Ensure that installations are completed within planned timescales and resource is managed at site level
-
Relay messages from the Project Manager/Engineer to contractors and subcontractors

Convey information about the progress of the project and performance of the contractors to the Project Engineer

Report accidents and incidents that occur at the construction site to the Project Manager
-
Ensure the smooth day to day operation of work activities at the construction site
-
Order material from approved suppliers after sign-off by the Project Engineer
The Salary
The Mechanical Installation Supervisor will be offered a salary of c.£37,500 - £39,780 depending on experience, the role will typically work around 42.5 hrs with approximately 10 hrs OT (including travel time) depending on business needs.
Overtime is paid at x1.5 Mon – Sat and x2 on a Sunday.
About You
The successful Mechanical Installation Supervisor will be an experienced Installation Engineer with previous experience supervising onsite teams.
