Production Manager (Assembly)
Our client is a leading organisation that offer inhouse design, manufacturing and testing of innovative solutions to a wide range of industries such as Motor, Energy, Fire & Security, Robotics and Medical. They are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Production Manager (Assembly) to join their ever-expanding team, based in Bishop Auckland. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and buoyant company.
The role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the assembly process, reporting directly to the CEO. A primary focus of this role is to maximise the productivity of the organisation’s product brands.
Key duties include:
- Drive efficiency and output in order to maximise productivity
- Continuously implement best practice assembly methods
- Adopting a proactive approach to obtain and drive strategic assembly objectives
- Demonstrate clear communication and maintain good working relationships
- Make sure that quality systems and procedures are being effectively adhered to within your team
- Ensure compliance of all HSE policy and procedures, working in conjunction with the HSE advisor
- Liaise with other departments in order to support consistency and quality assurance
- Supporting new business opportunities and acting as an integral part of the management team
About you
The ideal candidate will be proactive, result orientated and able to effectively deliver against production deadlines, whilst adopting and implementing new ideas and innovative processes.
Key attributes:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- HNC Level (or equivalent) in an engineering/manufacturing discipline
- Previous management experience within assembly processes
- A strong leader that inspires and motivates staff
- Efficient and detail orientated
- Excellent communication and relationship management
- Quality focused and able to drive improvement
