Spares Tendering & Contracts Coordinator - South Shields

Our client is a specialised global manufacturer that works in a variety of industry sectors in the industrial, commercial marine and naval markets.  Based in South Tyneside, they are currently looking for a Spares Tendering & Contracts Coordinator to join them on a permanent basis.

The Role

Reporting into the Commercial Manager, the Spares Tendering and Contracts Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and maintaining good lines of communication with customers, providing estimated work costs and performing contract reviews.

Other requirements include:

• Applying established rules for the pricing associated with Spares tenders.
• Liaising with Sales Team colleagues in order to determine the price to be quoted when necessary
• Creation of Sales Quotations within the ERP system.
• Initially reviewing Terms & Conditions of the Contract
• Conversion of Sales Quotations to Customer Orders within the ERP system, performing contract reviews, allocating contract requirements and acknowledging customer orders.
• Monitoring Customer Orders during the life of the contract and liaising with the customer on any amendments/costs/implications and appraising of progress as required by the contract.

About You

The successful Spares Tendering & Contracts Coordinator will have experience in a similar role within Industrial, Marine or Engineering environments. You will be an excellent communicator with a flexible attitude and strong numeracy skills.

Other requirements include:

• A recognised engineering qualification (ONC or above) would be advantageous
• The ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings & specifications
• An appreciation of commercial terms and conditions of business would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of export licence control would be advantageous.
• A working knowledge of ERP systems is required.
