Job Title: Stores Person
Location: Blyth, Northumberland
Contract Type: 6-month fixed term contract
Our client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Stores Person to be based at their site in Blyth on a 6-month fixed term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Stores Person to join a fast-paced, well-established operation where accuracy, organisation and teamwork are highly valued.
As a Stores Person, you will play a key role in supporting daily warehouse and logistics activities, ensuring stock is received, stored and issued efficiently to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, check and book in goods against delivery notes and purchase orders

Maintain accurate stock control and carry out cycle counts

Pick, pack and dispatch orders to internal teams, customers and suppliers

Issue parts, tools, PPE and equipment, ensuring records are updated

Support logistics operations and maintain safe storage practices, including COSHH items
Requirements

Previous experience as a Stores Person or within a warehouse/stores function in an engineering or industrial environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage workload independently

IT literate, ideally with ERP/MRP systems experience (e.g. SAP or similar)

Valid forklift (counterbalance) licence

Good communication skills and a proactive, team-focused approach
