As Welder/Fabricator Trainer, you will be instrumental in bringing in house training to a team of apprentices joining the business. You will have an opportunity to transfer your knowledge and expertise on the mastery of welding and fabricating to the next generation. This will suit an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about mentoring the up and coming generation entering the Engineering and Maritime sectors.

About the Welder Fabricator Trainer Role
As Welder/Fabricator Trainer, you will be experienced in all general welding practices including FCAW, MIG, TIG and MMA and will provide hands on training, instructing apprentices while they master the craft. You will share your knowledge on Corrosion Protection and Structural Integrity to a range of apprentices and ensuring they know the various purposes of plating.
Other responsibilities will include:

Supporting apprentice on-boarding and site induction process

Provide hands on training to apprentices showing them how to mark off, assemble and tack weld offering guidance to make sure that their skills develop

Teach about distortion/shrinkage control, forming and using powered rolls and brake press

Design, develop and improve onsite training modules alongside the Training Officer.

Ensure that attendance and progress of apprentices is good and give constructive feedback whenever you can to overcome challenges
About You
As Welder Fabricator Trainer, you will have a desire to pass on knowledge and experience to the next generation and will thrive engaging with, mentoring and challenging apprentices.
Other requirements include:

Experience in all general welding practices including MIG, TIG and MMA

Experience of delivering Apprentice training and knowledge of Apprenticeship regulations and standards would be highly beneficial
